Drew Bivona: My advice is to not only create a brand but to identify a specific problem or goal that the business will stay focused on. That goal should be unique and not just a mirror of other competitors in the industry.

Prior to founding Bivona Law and becoming The Voice for Kids, Drew represented personal injury victims across Texas working for a boutique litigation firm based in Houston, Texas. Drew got his start in personal injury when he represented hundreds of chemical exposure and personal injury victims throughout the Greater Houston Area. No stranger to a fight, Drew also defended small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States against the Internal Revenue Service and state tax agencies. Considering that he has always had a penchant for kids, he and his wife became foster parents in 2020. His son is now five years old, out of foster care, and adopted.
Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Drew has traveled around the country and the world. At 19 years old, he joined the United States Navy. While on active duty, Drew earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics. After six years in the United States Navy and three deployments overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Drew moved back to Louisiana to attend law school at Louisiana State University. During law school, Drew also studied international and European business law at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon III in Lyon, France. Drew ultimately received his Juris Doctorate and a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.
Drew has called Houston home for nearly a decade, although his family has been around these parts since the 1960s. Drew is currently a Director on the board for the Houston Trial Lawyers Association (HTLA) and a Trustee on the board for the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation (HYLF). Prior to joining the board of HTLA, he spent five years as an elected board member of the Houston Young Lawyer Association (HYLA). He is also a Houston Young Lawyers Foundation Fellow.
Drew is a community outreach advocate, concentrating on the homeless and youth education. In 2016, he founded the Know Your Rights program through HYLA with a mission to educate high school students and young adults on their rights with regards to police interactions in an effort to reduce conflict and promote healthy relationships with police officers. In 2018, he assisted in founding the Read to Succeed program through HYLF with a mission to teaching 3rd graders the importance of reading at their grade level, which has been shown to greatly improve their likelihood of graduating from High School if achieved.
Company: Bivona Law PLLC
Drew Bivona: My practice is very unique. I am one of the only attorneys in Texas (and arguably across the country) that focuses on provide legal services to injured children. Every day, we hold private schools, day cares, camps, churches, and activities centers accountable for injuries caused to children through negligence. We often deal with negligent supervision, unsafe conditions, subpar training, and sexual assaults.
Drew Bivona: I’ve coined myself as The Voice for Kids. Our advertisements and social media content carry out the mission of both educating parents on the rights of their children and providing them with an advocate to seek justice when needed. The firm’s staff has bought into this mission as well, understanding that helping our communities children is often more gratifying than handling motor vehicle accidents at volume.
Drew Bivona: At Bivona Law, we purposefully focus on the client and customer service instead of the bottom line. The majority of the profits and revenue we earn is recycled back into the firm to constantly grow it instead of into my pocket. I think as a lawyer and law firm it is important to place the needs of our clients above the sole goal of getting rich or making money.
Drew Bivona: Giving back to my community through creating programs focused on helping children or giving back to the needy is a mainstay in my biography. This also led my wife and I to become foster parents and eventually adopt our son. Leading by example in these ways has helped to create a more genuine brand.
Drew Bivona: We are constantly focused on customer feedback and employee suggestions. Always having an open door policy and quickly reacting to suggestions or complaints allows for a more approachable, trustworthy firm.
